Insurance Billing Settings

Titanium allows users to export print image files to upload to their choice of insurance clearinghouse, or to print hard copy insurance claim forms, using pre-printed CMS 1500 paper.  Titanium does not electronically interface with any third-party insurance clearinghouses.

 

You should consult the state or federal guidelines for insurance claim forms to learn more about the fields to be set up.

 

To use insurance billing:

1.On the Billing tab in System Settings, click the Activate Insurance Billing check box.
2.Click the Insurance Billing Settings button.
3.Click the Billing Code List button and use the list screen to create your billing code list.
4.Click the Service Facilities button and use the list screen to enter facilities, including place of service codes, addresses, and NPI and other ID numbers.
5.Click the Carriers button and the list screen to enter insurance carriers, including addresses, whether to show client amounts paid on claims, and whether to accept assignments.  (Note: Carriers can be added by users when adding client insurance information. If a billing provider or service facility override is allowed, use the pull down menus to set the necessary overrides.)
6.Complete the claim provider information.
oChoose whether to generate all claims in the name of a single provider, or use the counselor or supervisor from the service line.
oIf all claims are under a single counselor, choose the counselor from the pull down menu.
oClick the boxes to show the counselor name and credentials, and digital signature on claim forms.
7.Use the pull down menus and check boxes to set defaults for the center.
8.  Click the Place of Service Codes button and use the list screen to edit the pre-populated place of service codes list.
9.  Click the Other ID Qualifiers button and use the list screen to edit the pre-populated ID qualifiers list.
10.  Click Close.
11.  Communicate to users to complete the Billing Settings in User Settings > Defaults.
